Always Comfy Services

Service and Repairs

All things mechanical will eventually break or fail. When this happens it’s important to have a qualified technician determine the fault and the best fix.

Whether we installed your equipment or your “uncle Joe”., our expert technicians can diagnose and repair your heating and cooling equipment.

You can trust us when deciding if a repair or replacement is best.

With Always Comfy, it’s always a white glove, turn key experience.

Preventative Maintenance

Is preventative maintenance worth the cost?

Everybody know all things mechanical need maintenance. What you may not know is what and how often. Your car may tell you it’s time for an oil change but your heating and cooling equipment may not. This is why scheduled annual maintenance is crucial for the life of your system.

Preventative maintenance will always be more cost effective than repair work when a problem occurs.

When you are Always Comfy’s customer, we track your equipment’s history. This could include installation date, maintenances completed, and service work performed.

Furnaces, Heat Pumps and Air Condtioners

Should you replace your heating and cooling equipment?

Is your oil tank getting empty? How about getting rid of a gas burning appliance? Is it just old and inefficient? When it’s time to replace your aging or outdated equipment, let our home comfort experts design the best system for your unique circumstances. We will always have more than one option to best fit your needs and budget. When it comes time to install your system, you can be confident that our professional team will get it done right.

Furnaces and Air Handlers.

Furnaces create heat by burning fuel such as oil, gas, or even wood. They put out the hottest air out your registers and are typically 80-90% efficient.

Heat pumps and AC units.

Heat pumps and AC units don’t create heat or cold, they transfer heat from one location to the other. In to out and out to in. This makes them extremely efficient and environmentally friendly.

Ductless heat pumps.

On a conventional force air system, heat is distributed through ducts and registers, the duct system is the most likely place to lose heat and efficiency. This is where ductless systems come into play. They are heat pumps that transfer the heat from one location to the other directly with the refrigerant vs blowing the heated air to a location. This makes the most efficient type of system and generally allows for separate temperature controls for each room. They may qualify for better utility rebates as well.

Thermostats and Controls

What do they do?

Maybe it’s what don’t they do.

Whether it’s the outdoor temperature, the indoor humidity or an alert to either, todays thermostats are more than just turning the heat on and off. Did you know that most new thermostats are learning? Over time, they begin to understand how quickly you home gains or loses heat and adjusts accordingly. They can control multiple systems and multiples zones, keep your air clean and send you reminders.

And of course, now many people want to integrate their HVAC systems into a smart home or just use the phone to change the temperature.

The comfort specialists at Always Comfy can help you find the perfect control for your new or existing system.

Can my existing system work with a modern thermostat?

This is not a yes or no answer. There are many features and options on thermostats that older systems just don’t have the features to support them. Of course you can alwyays use a smart thermostat on any system, even baseboard heat, but you may need to make some minor upgrades.

Alot of homes do not have the extra wire at the thermostat to power smart thermostats like the Nest. To keep it charged, a new thermostat wire would need to be run to the furnace. At Always Comfy we have access to the best electricians through our sister company Always Current Electric to connect even the most difficult of dots. And remember, if we have to cut some drywall, we offer repair services as well. Check out our final touches!

Generators

Portable Generators

Portable generators are just that, portable and most likely stored somwhere other than were you use them. They will connect to your home via a cord through a transfer switch or interlock kit and an inlet.

This is a great option if you rarely lose power for more than a few hours.

NEVER CONNECT A PORTABLE GENERATOR TO YOU HOME WITH OUT A TRANSFER SWITCH OR INTERLOCK KIT. THIS IS DANGEROUS!

Pros:

Low upfront costs.

Cons:

Noisy

Trips to the gas station.

Have set up and start manually.

This is an automatic system that is “standing by” waiting for a power outage. There are several ways they can be installed with each of them coming on automatically when the power goes out and shutting down when it is restored. You can do the whole house or select circuits.

Pros:

Automatic

No trips to the gas station

No generator to store

Cons:

High upfront costs.
